Controller

Mike Barry serves as Controller of Parker Development Company, supporting the firm’s accounting and finance function across all Parker affiliated entities. Working in close partnership with the CFO and ownership group, Mike is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports, and plays a central role in developing the internal processes and controls that support efficient, scalable financial operations.

Mike brings deep expertise in real estate development finance, shaped by experience spanning the full lifecycle of development projects. Prior to Parker Development Company, he gained hands-on exposure to residential development finance with a Sacramento-based homebuilder, where he worked across proforma budgeting, land acquisition, construction accounting, and project closeout. He began his career at a civil and structural engineering firm in San Francisco, where he focused on project budgeting, cost accounting, and billing for large-scale infrastructure projects. These combined experiences have given Mike a strong foundation in financial analysis, project costing, and collaboration with investors, lenders, and escrow professionals – directly aligned with the complex, multi-entity portfolio Parker manages today.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy from California State University, Sacramento. Since joining Parker Development Company in 2003, he has been a cornerstone of the firm’s financial operations and remains a key partner in building the finance organization to support the company’s continued growth.
